Steve Veloudos has been writing, performing, and recording music with various bands for the past 40 years. Steve created Zebra Music LLC, an interesting business that is focused on creating music for radio, television, video, film, and the gaming industry.
Steve was born in Parma, Ohio a suburb of Cleveland. He learned to sing and play guitar by listening to bands such as Aerosmith, Bad Company, and Rush. He soon found himself playing in bands performing covers and original material. His first band was Fallout, playing gigs at schools and venues around the Parma, Ohio area.
In 1981 he joined Archer, a local favorite which performed at all of the premiere clubs in Cleveland and surrounding areas. After Archer’s demise, Veloudos wanted to move closer to the music industry in Los Angles and relocated to Phoenix, Arizona.
Steve formed Carnival in 1985. This band was one of the top drawing acts in Phoenix. One of Steve’s songs was chosen to be on KDKB’s Arizona Sounds Volume 7 compilation album. Exposure from the album’s release led to the band performing at large venues such as the Mesa Amphitheater (5000 seats). Carnival was also a two-time guest on KDKB’s Arizona Backstage radio program.
The Music City Song Festival awarded Steve a “Top Twenty Five Finalist” award in 1989, motivating him to form a new band, Rotterdam. This band was nominated as one of the top seventeen bands in Arizona by Joel Samuel Productions’ Backstage Pass.
In 1992 Steve formed Dirty Money, a blues based back to basics rock act. Dirty Money was a top drawing act performing in the Phoenix area until 1994. During this time Veloudos also built an 8 track recording facility.
In 1995 Steve was seeking to stay in the music business in a new and exciting way, he formed Zebra Music. The company was an educational center providing instruction to musicians on the business side of the music industry. The Zebra Music web site was featured in the January 2000 edition of Keyboard Magazine as one of the “Top 25” music web sites on the Internet.
With a desire to get back into recording music, Steve formed Zebra Music LLC in early 2003. The company centers on creating music for radio, television, video, film, and the gaming industry. Veloudos built a digital recording studio with the profits that he made from his musician educational center.
Veloudos has completed commercial scores for Motorola, Centerpoint, Gabriel’s Angels, Grand Canyon Minority Supplier Development Council, and an open source video game named Charge Backstab. Steve has composed custom jingles for Brian Chevrolet a New Orleans based auto dealership as well as IBBFL which is a conglomeration of five auto dealers in Steve’s hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.
Steve’s plans for Zebra Music LLC are to continue to create great music and add to his music library.
